about

Knifes And Smothers is a show of reverence to the bioregion of the American south east, particularly that of North Carolina, and an expression of the cultural trauma of a once razed land whose very basis is that of human suffering. What these trees have seen, seas of kudzu grown with the iron of blood, and quaint streams which will carry the souls of the region’s tragedies for eternity. The artwork is a reference to the bachelor pad hi-fi of 1950s-60s Exotica music, the singer’s face is missing, much like closure.
